Literary Magazine
The literary magazine is published each year by the Rhapsody staff who encourage students in the school to submit their best writing and artwork through early January. Production begins during second semester and the staff decides on submissions and begins lay out using Adobe Creative Design. We work during Creative Writing II class and after school. If you are interested in being a staff member, there is an application process in Spring for Fall staff.

Welcome, Ms. Tanner as Official Co-Adviser
We'd like to welcome Ms. Tanner as Rhapsody's official Co-Adviser this year. She joins Kathy Smaltz in this capacity; Ms. Tanner brings with her an extensive knowledge of graphic arts and magazine design as well as expertise in visual art. Last year when she arrived at Brentsville, she began assiting, and we're excited to have her back as our official Co-Adviser this school year. We're also excited to welcome Photography classes back to BDHS, sections that Ms. Tanner teaches.

We'd also like to take a moment to thank Mrs. Blair-Nussbaum, who worked with the magazine for the past several years, as Co-Adviser for the past two. She worked hard to help grow the staff so it includes not just writers but also visual artists, and she also helped staff to feature artwork as it deserves to be showcased. In addition, she streamlined the process by which staff viewed and selected artwork and improved the quality of digital images to reduce pixelation in the final product.

With writers and artists working together, students and advisers are producing the best Rhapsody possible.

-Lin Rudder and Keri Teboe, Editors-in-Chief
